Dr. Karl-Ulrich Braun-Dullaeus is a patent attorney and an equity partner at BDPE in Dusseldorf, an IP service boutique that specializes in litigation in industrial property protection.

Dr. Braun-Dullaeus has more than 20 years of experience as a patent attorney, in which he successfully lead a large number of patent disputes, especially on behalf of large corporations in the field of telecommunications. These attacks on the legal status of the patents filed in the context of IP litigation have been extensive and successful. He also has broad experience in the filing of patent applications and the implementation of grant procedures. He represents clients before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the German Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the European Patent Office (EPA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Dr. Braun-Dullaeus has been an equity partner at the patent attorneys and attorneys at law firm BDPE in Dusseldorf since 2019. In 2002 he set up his own business with colleagues and founded the law firm Braun-Dullaeus Pannen in 2010. He has been a patent attorney since 1998. Until 1994 he worked as a physicist in applied nuclear physics, semiconductor and solid state physics, physical oceanography and medical physics. He studied physics at Heidelberg University and did his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics.
