Kathryn Matthews is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation practice with over twenty years of experience litigating complex securities and other business disputes on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. She regularly represents clients in high-stakes litigation involving complex financial products and transactions. Kathryn’s practice encompasses public companies, their directors and officers, and private investors in all stages of litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, as well as before arbitration panels and in mediations. Most recently, Kathryn helped the FDIC in its capacity as receiver for various banks that failed during the financial crisis, as well as other large institutional investors, recover hundreds of millions of dollars in litigation arising from the purchase of mortgage-backed securities. She has represented clients in diverse industries including banking, reinsurance, media, retail, and financial services.
