Adrian Augustyniak is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, a senior associate in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort Maruta and a member of the Energy & Natural Resources team.

A specialist in energy law, commercial and corporate law, he focuses on M&A transactions and regulatory issues concerning the energy sector, in particular, in the areas of renewable energy, gaseous fuels, liquid fuels and heat. Adrian Augustyniak has advised clients on numerous investment, infrastructure, M&A, private equity and project finance transactions. He has been providing ongoing legal advice regarding the energy and infrastructure sector, including investments and acquisitions involving conventional and renewable energy.

Adrian has significant experience in advising on trade in gaseous fuels (including LNG), coal, crude oil, electrical energy and heat. His experience also includes advising on the development of infrastructure projects, including new power units and the development of power plants (CHP units, coal-fired units, gas-fired units and renewable energy sources (including offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea)) in the scope of regulatory, investment process and contractual aspects (including power purchase agreements, agreements to purchase raw materials for generating electrical energy, construction contracts and operation and maintenance agreements).

He has also taken part in legal due diligence investigations in the area of energy, covering in particular, onshore wind and photovoltaic farms projects, as well as in a number of legal due diligence investigations of various entities from other sectors of the economy.

Education

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź in 2015, and also completed International and European Legal Studies at the University of Antwerp. He qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2019. Prior to joining the law firm, he completed an internship at the State Treasury Solicitors’ Office (currently the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland).
