Ana advises on a broad range of transactions, projects, joint ventures, restructurings and commercial agreements.  She has particular expertise in the oil and gas sector and has advised on projects across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the CIS.

Ana's experience ranges from advising on M&A in the heavily regulated North Sea to representing clients in entering frontier markets, such as Afghanistan and Iraq.  She has drafted and negotiated a wide variety of contracts, from those based on standard forms to entirely bespoke arrangements.  She has advised clients on pre-dispute strategy, settlement agreements and technical aspects of oil and gas disputes.  In addition, Ana has considerable corporate and commercial experience outside of the oil and gas sector.

Over the past 15 years, Ana has practised at several leading international law firms in London and Dubai, including Baker Botts, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and CMS. She has experience of working in-house as legal counsel for an oil trading company and through secondments at ExxonMobil, BP and Dragon Oil.

Ana qualified as an English solicitor in 2008 and has been based in the UAE since 2012.
