Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is integral to our business and values. Our CSR initiatives reflect our genuine commitment to giving back to the communities we live in and to those who are in need. We are passionate about making a positive impact on society and encourage our team to contribute their time, expertise, skills, and resources to a variety of causes that have a meaningful impact on communities. To achieve our CSR objectives, we focus on three areas:

  1. Pro bono legal assistance to not-for-profit organizations working on social causes to uplift the under privileged;
  2. promoting sustainable practices to protect our environment and supporting organizations working in this area by providing legal support; and
  3. provide financial and legal support to worthy charitable initiatives.

The recent initiatives taken by the firm are as follows:

1. Assisting Manzil Mystics a Delhi based registered non-profit (Trust) for

    • securing copyright registration for their song/ musical track titled ‘Awara’.
    • filing the Design application for protecting the design of Mobile recording studio. The studio is designed on the concept of classroom in the bus.

Manzil Mystics works for disadvantaged sections of the society by holding workshops on Gender education, Spoken English, Reproductive health, Menstrual hygiene, and Life skills through music in less privileged partner schools and communities. They also organize community events centered on socially conscientious music and produce music (writing, composing and recording) for schools, colleges, NGOs and corporates.

2. Arpan - Arpan founded in 2006 provides for a long-term psychotherapeutic support to adolescent girls and boys and adult survivors in shelter homes who have been sexually abused or trafficked and provides healing support to children and adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse through Mental Health Services. Since its inception in 2006, Arpan has directly imparted lives of over 245,095 children and adults through prevention, healing and training programmes. We advised and assisted them in filing and prosecuting their 15 copyright applications in English, Hindi and Marathi Language.

3. Cividep – Cividep is engaged in empowering workers and communities and to ensure that businesses comply with human and labour rights and environmental standards. We reviewed the video film prepared by Cividep that was intended to be shared via its YouTube channel and website. The film was analyzed it taking into account the relevant enactments such as The Advertising Standard Council of India Code, Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries And Digital Media

Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, The Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010.

4. NCR waste matters is engaged in creating awareness and action on civic and social issue (waste management, waste picker rights, sustainable menstruation, no landfills, etc). We advised them in relation to the trade mark filing work
