Ivan Lishchyna is a Partner at Fortior Law S.A. Ivan is a specialist in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as the international human rights law.

Prior to joining Fortior, Ivan was Partтer at several well-known Ukrainian law firms, where he successfully represented clients in international arbitrations and trans-border litigations.  Between 2016 and 2021, Ivan was Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine and Ukrainian Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights and multiple investor-state disputes. Between 2002 and 2008 Ivan was a lawyer at the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Ivan has an LLM from Queen Mary, University of London, where he specialised in international dispute resolution. He also has a law degree from the Yaroslav Mudryi, National Law University of Ukraine.

Ivan is a qualified Ukrainian advocate and has been awarded the title of Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine by the President of Ukraine in 2018.
