Career

Nia joined Grant Stephens Family Law in 2023 as an Associate Director and was promoted to Director in 2024. Nia has specialised in family law since 2009 and has extensive experience in a wide range of diverse and complex matters. Nia is well-practised in representing clients in relationship breakdown, divorce, financial matters, and private law children disputes.

Her wealth of experience includes dealing with high-net-worth assets and complex cases. On many occasions, she has acted in disputes involving business assets, substantial pensions and overseas assets. Nia is also experienced in dealing with injunctions needed to protect assets prior to final settlement as well as negotiating complex pre/ post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. She is adept at resolving issues arising regarding post-separation child arrangements and is often able to resolve such matters through sensible and robust negotiations. For matters that cannot be resolved outside of Court, Nia is a keen advocate and will represent her client’s interest at Court.

Nia is known for her sensible and productive approach as well as her empathetic style. She looks for the most constructive results in a cost-effective manner, whilst keeping her clients’ best interests at the forefront of any proposed action.
