Trainee Solicitor

James Jones joined Grant Stephens Family Law in October 2022 as a Legal Assistant and through his excellent work ethic and client manner was promoted to Trainee Solicitor in April 2024. He has been able to gain a multitude of experience in his short time with the firm by assisting all fee earners including Directors of the firm with their work and has attended a number of complex Court hearings to provide support for clients and assist Counsel where possible.

James completed his undergraduate law degree at Swansea University in 2021 and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course and a Master’s degree in Advanced Legal Drafting in which he received a distinction in his dissertation.

James is an associate member of Resolution, and he is committed to their Code of Practice, promoting a constructive approach to family issues.

In his free time, James is passionate about fitness and makes a habit of going to the gym every day, whether that be for running or weightlifting. His love for fitness is equally balanced by his love for food and he enjoys trying to find new ways to make healthy eating exciting.
