Yiannis has been practising law since 2009, and before establishing his own firm, he served as a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department of one of the most prominent law firms in Cyprus.

He has significant experience in a wide range of contentious matters, focusing on:  

commercial fraud    management and corporate control disputes derivative claims breach of fiduciary duties winding-up applications and insolvency cross-border asset recovery trust disputes unlawful termination of distribution, franchise and licensing agreements M & A litigation breach of disclosure and confidentiality agreements contentious aspects of intellectual property law  enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

He also regularly represents clients in multijurisdictional cases, which require the issuance of interim freezing injunctions, disclosure orders, search orders, and orders for the appointment of liquidators and receivers

He also has a particular interest in the information and technology sector and provides specialised advice to entrepreneurs, investors and innovative companies.

Yiannis works closely and proactively with corporate law firms and corporate service providers in many transactions and corporate projects and provides clients with strategies and advice on pre-litigation stages.

His work on this field includes reviewing from a litigation perspective of:

commercial agreements due diligence documents articles of association shareholders’ agreements

Drawing from his significant litigation experience, Yiannis’ advice is effective and pragmatic and aims in providing strategic advantages to his clients in possible future litigation.

Yiannis has a law degree with Merit from the National University of Athens (Law Faculty). He also obtained an LL.M in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary College, University of London, with Distinction.
