Julie Bellesort

Julie is a Partner at KPMG Avocats. She co-heads the IT/IP Compliance department.

Julie advises its clients in IT/IP and data protection and compliance matters both as a litigator and for legal advice.

Thanks to her experience in the IT and technology sectors at her prior law firms, Julie thinks outside of the box and can accompany clients of all kinds of sectors and industries during their digitization, whether clients are tech savvy or not. She advises clients of all sizes on their GDPR compliance.

She has been involved notably in the phase of the build, run and follow up of new applications, and assisted clients in the development of new services. She works hand in hand with technical consultants in order to ally the legal compliance with the technical aspects specific to the customers’ IT environments.

For the set up and implementation of an ambitious GDPR Compliance program for a large retail group with over 40 legal entities, she formed a team composed of both lawyers and technical consultants and organized a project plan for the client to have an end-to-end service.

She participated in the set-up of a standard for GDPR Compliance in the software industry.

Julie is an Attorney at Law, member of the Hauts-de Seine Bar.

She holds a Post-graduate degree in Innovation Culture and Communication Law from the University of Paris XI and a Post-graduate degree in Digital Activities Law  from the University of Paris V.
