Background

Aisling qualified as a solicitor in 2013, having trained with a leading international corporate law firm in Dublin. She working as a banking lawyer before joining KPMG in 2016. She has a wide range of experience in advising domestic and multinational organisations on corporate law, commercial contracts, banking, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, regulatory and procedural policies.

Professional Experience

More specifically, Aisling has worked in the following areas:

Projects: project managed the provision of legal and other advice from a number of domestic law firms on behalf of an Irish bank in special liquidation. Aisling was directly responsible for the coordination and collation of advice requested from the law firms and acted as the central liaison point for the Bank.  The role involved weekly stakeholder meetings with relevant departments and preparing status reports and updates for management. Aisling was on secondment to the bank for 6 months. Corporate Law Advice: provided advice to major clients, in relation to corporate and tax restructures, company and contract law. Commercial Contracts:  intra-group and arms length joint venture, distribution, agency and licensing arrangements Corporate Governance:  advice and assistance in relation to directors duties, corporate compliance, directors loan issues and financial assistance Preliminary Legal Advice on Proposed Structures:  providing integrated legal advice together with other KPMG tax, accounting and business advisors on corporate structuring projects Group Reorganisations:  the transfer of shares, business and assets and entity simplification projects Share Capital and Distributions:  technical company law advice in relation to cash, in specie and deemed distributions, share issues and alteration of share rights, share buy-backs, redemptions and reductions of capital

Recent transactions on which Aisling has advised include the following:

Providing advice and project management services to all work streams involved in certain remediation projects for a domestic bank in special liquidation and liaising with external counsel in relation to an queries raised and advices received. Advising domestic retail bank on legal implications of individual accountability framework regulations; Numerous entity simplification and corporate rationalisation projects for both domestic and multinational organisations Drafting intra-group servicing agreements for international engineering company
