Background

Sinéad joined KPMG in 2012, completed her training with the firm in 2015 and was promoted to Associate Director in May 2019.

Professional Experience

Sinéad has in excess of 9 years experience working with a range of Irish and multinational clients, advising on Irish company law and corporate governance matters. Sinéad has responsibility for advising clients on a range of services including, the formation of new companies, share transfers, allotments and capitalisations, group reorganisations and restructuring, corporate governance and advising on the dissolution of surplus entities. Sinéad completed a 13 month in-house secondment as Corporate Governance advisor to one of Ireland’s largest banks. Sinéad was responsible for providing company secretarial services to three regulated Tier 2 subsidiary companies together with their Audit Committees and several Tier 3  subsidiaries. While on secondment, Sinéad co-ordinated, attended and minuted board meetings and prepared corporate governance papers for consideration by the Board. Sinéad was also involved in conducting board evaluations, completing CBI annual compliance statements and advising on compliance with  the CBI Corporate Governance Regulations.

Sector Experience

Sinéad has a broad range of sector experience including the financial services, food production and agri-  business, healthcare, energy, construction, commercial property and aviation leasing sectors.

Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute ("ICSA")

Bachelor of Laws, University of Limerick (with First Class Honours)

Masters of Science in Management and Corporate Governance, Ulster University (with First Class Honours)

Member of the ICSA Ireland Events Committee

Recipient of the Newton Compton Cup award for outstanding academic achievement in Company Law and Corporate Secretaryship
