Laura has an experience of over 20 years in legal advisory services, with a strong focus on M&A and the Financial Services sector.

She has experience in leading complex projects including coordinating large and multidisciplinary teams and professional communication with various relevant authorities (for example, she was the project manager of the project where General Electric established in a joint venture a bank in Romania etc.). She has advised major international and Romanian companies on how to structure their activities and services as to be in compliance with relevant regulations, or offered assistance during  acquisition or merger projects. Laura has a rich track record coordinating projects and also being involved in various sectors and industries ( Financial Services, Pharma and Healthcare, IT, Retail, Food etc), many of them with cross border implications and effects.

With a combination of creativity and a deep knowledge of regulations, Laura has led innovative legal projects such as: the first authorization of an investment fund as controlling shareholder in a Romanian bank, the first merger between a bank and a non-banking financial institution, authorization of payment institutions or e-money issuers, or authorization of Fintech companies as online lending providers, as well as issuance of bonds by international institutions.

During the recent years, Laura has also focused on projects connected to the use of technology in the providing of legal services but also by the clients, in their businesses.

On Corporate and M&A side, Laura has a great experience due to her involvement in more than 100 M&A projects.
