Senior Managing Associate

Cristina is a senior lawyer working with KPMG Legal for more than 15 years. She has provided legal and business advisory services to a large number of important international investors operating in Romania. Cristina has executed numerous due diligence projects and reviews for Romanian companies targeted as potential acquisitions by international and local clients acting in various industries, such as real estate and financial services.

She has advised local and international banks, non-banking financial institutions, investment funds as well as financial industry associations.

Cristina has worked on highly complex and prominent transactions in the financial services market, including the Blue Lake project, where she assisted the buyer of a large NPL portfolio. For this project, KPMG Legal received an award by the leading financial newspaper Ziarul Financiar, for the “Most Important Transaction in the Financial Services Sector” for 2017. 

In recent years Cristina has been involved in NPL projects with an aggregated value of over EUR 1 Bil, in which she has advised on structuring and negotiation of the transactions, banking regulation, and consumer protection law.
