Mr Benjamin Millward

Position
Ben is a Senior associate solicitor in our Commercial dispute resolution team, as well as being the co-head and co-founder of our Sports Law sector group.
He assists clients with all manner of commercial disputes, including: complex contractual disputes, boardroom / shareholder disputes and debt recovery. He has over 12 years’ experience in the latter, having assisted clients across numerous sectors in recovering their trade debts. Much of his work involves a cross-board element.
He assists and advises his clients throughout all stages of their commercial disputes or debt recovery claims, from preliminary advice and pre-action steps through to the enforcement of judgments.
He also regularly advises and assists clients with issuing compulsory liquidation proceedings (winding-up and bankruptcy) against debtors.
His experience enables him to provide commercially sensible advice to clients, including on how best to utilise Alternative Dispute Resolution. However, if a claim is disputed he can guide clients through the court process all the way to trial.
As co-head and co-founder of the Sports Law sector group, he has experience in advising clients in the sports sector with their disputes. This can include matters such as those described above but also regulatory / disciplinary proceedings.
