Career

David embarked on his legal education journey in 2014 at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut, earning a Master 1 in Business Law in June 2018. In the same year, he pursued an LL.M. program in Business Law at USJ while preparing for the bar exam, leading to his induction into the Beirut Bar Association as a trainee lawyer in February 2020. In 2022, David advanced his education by enrolling in the DJCE (Diplôme de Juriste et Conseil d'Entreprise) Masters 2 program at the University of Strasbourg in France. He further specialized in international company litigation through a program at the University of Montpellier in France in June 2023. In July 2023, he passed the appeal bar exam, becoming a fully qualified lawyer before the Lebanese appeal courts.

David's professional trajectory includes a four-year tenure at Sakhr El Hachem Law Firm following his 2018 graduation. During his studies in France, he contributed to the Corporate/M&A team at the international law firm CMS Francis Lefebvre in Paris and Strasbourg. Driven by his strong belief in the potential of Lebanon and the broader Middle East, David returned to Beirut, serving as an associate at Mark Habka and Associates and as legal counsel at Almabani General Contractors. In 2025, David joined Obeid & Medawar Law Firm, where he is focused on broadening his expertise across the Middle East, particularly in the UAE, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

Throughout his career, David has amassed extensive experience in Litigation, acting as a criminal defense lawyer and handling dispute resolution cases in civil, commercial, corporate, and family law. In the Corporate field, he takes a particular interest in companies’ incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and the management of complex company matters. He also works on various commercial agreements essential to the daily operations of companies. David is trilingual (Arabic, French, and English).

In June 2018, David obtained a Bachelor in Law at the University of Saint Joseph Beirut . In the same year, he pursued an LL.M. program in Business Law at USJ while preparing for the bar exam, leading to his induction into the Beirut Bar Association as a trainee lawyer in February 2020.
