As Director of the Technical and Legal Services Department of ClarkeModet Argentina, is responsible for the provision of legal and technical services to our clients, and leader of our expertized team.  

Career

Marcos has more than 18 years of professional experience in the legal field of IP, mainly achieved in top-tier law firms assisting clients in the private and public sectors covering corporate and contractual counselling as well as litigation.

Before joining ClarkeModet, he served at the Argentine Ministry of Economy (Public Sector), at Economy Minister Dr. Roberto Lavagna’s private office; and at some of the major law firms in Argentina, including Llerena & Asociados; G. Breuer; Zang, Bergel & Viñes; and, more recently, as the leader of the Intellectual Property, Privacy & New Technologies Law area at Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi, one of the major law firms in Argentina, where he worked for 12 years.

Marcos obtained a Law degree (J.D. equivalent) at the School of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina “Santa María de los Buenos Aires” (UCA), and took a postgraduate/Master Degree with specialization in High Technology Law in the same university, as well as the International Program of Hispanic, Latin American and European Studies at the Centre for International Studies of the Ortega y Gasset Foundation (Toledo, Spain).

He actively participates in various professional associations and committees in the Intellectual Property and Technology Law fields, and also lectures in specialized conferences regarding these matters. He also lectures at the School of Law of San Andrés University (Buenos Aires).

He is admitted to the Bar of the City of Buenos Aires (CPACF - Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal), and is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the International Technology Law Association (ITECHLAW), and of the Argentine Association of Industrial Agents (AAAPI).  He is also a registered Industrial Property Agent at the Industrial Property National Office (INPI).
