Career

Mrs. Malik has more than ten years of experience mainly in the areas of constitutional litigation, human rights, family, airline and sports related litigation and legislative gap analysis work. She has provided extensive support to a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court, Mr. Aftab Gul, in relation to the representation of two members of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Pakistan International Airlines and various private entities.

Mrs. Malik has also been involved extensively with capacity building and training of public sector officials and non-profit organizations in the fields of international law and human rights and has worked on projects for institutions including the Research Society of International Law (RSIL) Pakistan, GTZ, IOM and UNIFEM. She has also assisted prominent international law experts and delivered policy briefs (especially with respect to human rights treaties) to national stakeholders in relation to the gaps between Pakistan’s international treaty commitments and current domestic laws.
