Career
Faria Ahmad is an Associate at Akhtar Imam & Associates. As an Associate, her main areas of practice include Company and Commercial law, Corporate law, Securities law, Labour and Employment law, Banking and Finance and Family law. Before joining the firm, she worked as a Junior Consultant at the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST). She developed the first Public Interest Litigation (PIL) repository in Bangladesh. She worked extensively on legal reform and policy advocacy on issues surrounding equality and discrimination, labour rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and rights of the marginalized communities. She is a member of the SARJAI network which dedicatedly works on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
