Dr. Abdulamir is a prominent legal expert with a distinguished career spanning maritime law and arbitration. He holds a Ph.D. in Maritime Dispute Law from the University of Oslo and leverages his extensive experience as a Master Mariner with the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company to provide unparalleled expertise in maritime transport and oil tanker disputes. Admitted as an accredited arbitrator and expert, he is registered with numerous international and Arab arbitration centers. He represents the State of Kuwait as an official member of the International Institute for Conflict Resolution (ISCDR) and serves as the President of the European Court of Arbitration’s Kuwait branch. Additionally, he chairs the Maritime Arbitration Unit, the first accredited entity in Kuwait and the GCC region specializing in maritime arbitration.
His professional contributions include authoring Arbitration in Maritime Disputes, the first specialized book in Kuwait and the GCC, recognized as an accredited reference by the European Court of Arbitration and the GCC Commercial Arbitration Center Library. His career encompasses drafting maritime and international trade contracts, providing legal consultations to shipping and energy sector companies, and managing disputes through ADR.
