Over his legal career spanning more than 25 years, Stefan Botezatu has provided legal assistance on Energy law, Competition law, Tech and Digital and Dispute Resolution matters to high-profile clients active in various business sectors in Europe, US and Asia.
Stefan is a renowned expert in regulatory matters covering electricity and gas trading, supply, distribution and production, ancillary services including e-mobility and development of infrastructure for electric vehicles as well as energy efficiency solutions. Stefan is also recognised for his work in competition cases in the energy and retail sectors.
He is extremely knowledgeable in corporate matters involving intricate restructurings schemes and business transfer, having advised in some of the largest transactions in the market.
He coordinates the white-collar crimes and sensitive investigations practice, having been involved in a series of niche investigations and criminal trials, including forgery, fraud, corruption, embezzlement, illegal disclosure of confidential data or illegal transfer of computer data, crime groups organized and aspects of cybercrime.
He dealt with important energy ICC arbitration files against State owned entities and litigates frequently against the National Energy Regulatory Authority on tariffs and other regulatory matters.
