Career

Elma Veledar Arifagić has 19 years of experience in legal consulting in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During her legal career, Elma’s focus was on commercial law, labor and constitutional law, as well as international law in relation to the European standards. In her daily work, Elma continuously provides legal services to a number of national and international businesses from various sectors (including banking sector, production and services), provides services in the matters of commercial law, employment, data protection and indemnities and represents domestic and international clients before the courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as before the ECtHR.

Elma has been involved in design and successful implementation of the Employment Law School, a modular professional education offered to in-house lawyers and HR experts. She is also a regular lecturer on issues related to dispute resolution and case-law of the ECtHR. In addition, she is continuously engaged as author in national legal bulletins and is acting as the editor-in-chief of the Legal Chronicle issued by the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the AIRE Centre, providing information of relevance for all legal practitioners in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
