Rik Geurts is partner of the firm and specialised in information technology law, privacy law, AI and commercial contracting. For many years he has been advising corporates on (complex) automation and privacy issues. Whether it concerns software development and protection (software copyrights), software licenses, e-commerce, cloud computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, DBaaS, DaaS), outsourcing, data protection, or cybersecurity, Rik assists in drafting and reviewing contracts, resolving disputes, and protecting your rights and business interests in IT-related matters. Rik is a trusted advisor of various corporate clients, board members and founders. He also supports the clients of the M&A practice at HSA Lawyers, including active participation in due diligence, as well as compliance and contracting issues.

Rik joined HAS Lawyers as a partner in 2021. Previously he worked at AKD as well as Van Iersel Luchtman. Rik is also member of the supervisory board of Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland (responsible for conduction health screenings for the breast cancer, cervical cancer and bowel cancer.
