Ajay Joseph is a company secretary and legal professional with over 2 decades of practice across UAE, Middle East and India. Ajay practices in all aspects of corporate and securities laws, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, foreign investment, securities regulation and general corporate matters. He also handles issues involving structuring and incorporation of entities in mainland, freezones and offshore jurisdictions, advisory on corporate governance framework, board support including meeting management and regulatory compliance, AML and ESR compliances as well as negotiating and reviewing a wide range of business and commercial contracts. Ajay has represented clients in closing complex investments in private placements and has experience in advising/representing issuers in initial public offerings, acquirers in domestic and cross-border shares, asset, merger and reorganization transactions in myriad industries including technology, manufacturing, and retail.

Prior to joining Abdulla Alawadi, Ajay was the Managing Partner of a law firm in Bangalore, India. He has also worked in-house and held senior positions in the Corporate Legal function for companies with operations in India, Southeast Asia, China, Europe, Dubai, BVI and across diverse sectors like Retail, IT & ITES, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure. Ajay holds graduate degrees in Commerce and Law. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for over 2 decades.
