Juan Carlos is an attorney with 16 years of experience providing legal services in the field of corporate, transactional, and real estate law and with solid experience in private equity and venture capital transactions. He represents both domestic and foreign clients, in the public and private sectors, in the planning and implementation of their businesses in Mexico, as well as the design of the appropriate corporate structure to carry out such businesses.

Juan Carlos, advises on the drafting and negotiation of different types of commercial agreements and documents, such as sale and purchase of shares, assets, real estate, supply, lease, general terms and conditions, memorandums of understanding, letters of intent, consultancy, services, fideicomisos (trusts), trademark and software licenses, confidentiality and inter-company agreements.

He also has experience in structuring mergers and acquisition transactions and establishment of joint ventures (including the drafting and negotiation of acquisition agreements and shareholders’ agreements). He actively provides legal counsel to entrepreneurs, startups, venture capital investors and individual innovators in a wide range of sectors.

In recent years, Juan Carlos has been lead counsel on some of the firm’s most important transactions, acting for an impressive range of clients, such as Newell Brands Inc., Fibra Plus, Proyectos ATB, East West Manufacturing, Ideas y Capital, Palantir Technologies, Grupo Farmatodo, MicroVest Capital Management LLC, Crowdfunder Inc. and its Mexican subsidiary, Másnegocio, S.A.P.I. de C.V., ENER-G, Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH), GlobeOne LLC.
