EMMA’S ROLE & EXPERIENCE

Emma is a senior and experienced employment lawyer in the team, having qualified as a solicitor and then worked in the City for several years. Emma then re-located to Yorkshire where she continued her legal career, becoming a partner in a commercial Leeds firm.

Throughout her career, Emma has advised on a wide range of employment law issues for both Claimants and Respondents, including representing clients in Tribunals in a range of claims with great success.

Emma has a wealth of experience in corporate support matters too and has also undertaken work for the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. Her area of expertise is wide and includes:

– Tribunal claims and defences;
– Advising employers on handling disciplinary and grievance matters;
– Supporting employers on handling long term employee absences;
– Negotiating exit terms and settlement agreements;
– Supporting employees with complex grievances;
– Restrictive covenants; and
– Reorganisations and redundancies.

SECTORS EMMA HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN

Emma has a keen interest in training HR and Management teams and regularly delivers general and bespoke training sessions for our clients. Emma also regularly speaks, on invitation, on topics of interest in employment law, most recently menopause and its related issues. Emma is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
