She has a research degree in Criminal Law from the same Universities. Doctor in Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Honorable Supreme Court of Justice.

She is a professor of Criminal Procedural Law, Special Criminal Law and Economic Criminal Law at the Universidad de Los Andes, and at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She has also taught at Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Libre de Colombia. She is the author of the book "Co-authorship in organized criminal power apparatus", the result of her doctoral thesis, published in 2013. In addition, she has published several publications, as well as articles in specialized journals, especially on topics related to Economic Criminal Law and International Criminal Law.
