David is a skilled lawyer with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity (PE) transactions. His previous role as general counsel and company secretary for a listed funds management company provides him with valuable insights into board-level issues, transactional challenges, and governance and compliance matters.
Throughout his career, David has been involved in significant acquisitions, mergers, and capital raising activities across various industries, including:
- Better Medical: Advised shareholders of Hills Medical Pty Ltd on the sale of Better Medical and Smart Clinics businesses to Livingbridge;
- BCT Solutions: Advised shareholders of BCT Solutions Pty Ltd on sale to Accenture Australia Holdings Pty Ltd;
- Cyrus Capital Partners: Acted as conflict counsel for Cyrus Capital Partners on its negotiations with QIC on the proposed acquisition of Virgin;
- Murray River Land: Advised shareholders of Murray River Land and Ulupna Pastoral Co on sale and refinance with ROC Partners;
- Palgrove Group: Advised existing shareholders of Palgrove Group on sale to New Zealand Superannuation Fund;
- Laguna Bay Agricultural Company: Advised Laguna Bay on investment in and subsequent acquisition of Carpendale Group, investment in Cutri Fruit and acquisition of Coolabah Turf; and
- Uptick: Advised shareholders of Uptick Pty Ltd on sale to Accel-KKR.
