Costs Lawyer

Lianne began her career in costs in 2012 after completing her law degree at Anglia Ruskin University. She successfully completed the ACL Costs Lawyer qualification course in 2016.

She has had a wide range of experience dealing with civil costs matters at a large firm of costs lawyers. Lianne has advised in relation to large value personal injury claims, clinical injury claims including those which required infant approval hearings and professional negligence.

Lianne has prepared Bills of Costs in the traditional and electronic formats as well as subsequent Replies. Although her experience was primarily claimant based she has prepared Points of Dispute and quantum advice. When settlement has not been possible she has instructed counsel to attend hearings and deal with preliminary issues.

Lianne has dealt with all aspects of cost budgeting, including drafting Budgets, drafting Budget Discussion Reports, negotiating with the other parties and preparing budget variations.
