Position

Jan Philipp Meyer, managing partner at Strasser Haindl Meyer Attorneys-at-law in Vienna, is admitted to the bar in both Austria and Germany and specializes in insurance law and litigation. He has many years of experience in monitoring and settling major claims (including industrial property insurance, cyber, D&O, general liability, professional liability, yacht insurance) and in defending/enforcing claims in and out of court (state jurisdiction, enforcement) – especially in cross-border matters and proceedings.

Jan Philipp advises international clients from various industries (insurance industry, manufacturing industry, third party funders, freelancers). He has strong roots in the German market in particular; his advisory focus is on cyber insurance, yacht hull, directors' and officers' liability insurance, supervisory law, digitalization and IT law, as well as data protection.
