Career
As a Partner Solicitor with Wildcat Law, Nichola is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
Nichola has particular expertise in professional negligence claims against advisors, such as solicitors, barristers, accountants, financial advisors and surveyors. Her experience also extends to personal and commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, negligence, fraud and disputed debt recovery claims.
The majority of Nichola’s caseload now focuses around Family Law, including divorce, finances and children. Nichola also acts for unmarried couples in Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustee Act (TOLATA) cases, when their relationship has broken down. Nichola also represents clients at court in children matters, and the early stages of financial remedy proceedings.
She is also widening her expertise in preparing wills and acting for clients in contentious probate and estate disputes, whilst also working with others on a number of probate and estate planning matters.
Nichola provides clear advice and guidance to clients before an issue becomes contentious, and strives to progress matters in a time efficient manner. This means that cost efficiency and a desire to move matters to a swift resolution, is prioritised.
Prior to qualifying, Nichola worked as a paralegal in domestic violence and Children Act proceedings, where she carried out her own advocacy in the County Courts. She has always had a particular interest and natural ability in the family law sector. Her skills and knowledge gained from commercial litigation provides an analytical, practical and commercial approach to family law matters.
Nichola’s approach, is to provide a trusting and empathetic environment to clients. This is achieved through understanding each client’s challenging situation, as well as their personal/business needs. She focuses on providing advice and guidance which is reassuring, unambiguous and realistic to the client’s specific circumstances, risks and options. Nichola appreciates the importance of client autonomy, where it is important that a client fully understands and are put at ease, to make the best decision for their needs.
