Henry Martinez leads the Banking and Corporate Department at our firm with a notable focus on credit recovery for two major Ecuadorian banks, Banco Internacional and Banco Bolivariano. Within the corporate department, he plays a pivotal role in cases involving the structuring and incorporation of companies, joint ventures, foundations, and partnerships, as well as the meticulous handling of minutes of public deeds, management of shareholding structures, and the drafting and reforming of bylaws. Henry's remarkable ability to immerse himself in every case he undertakes is a standout quality. His dedication to research and unwavering professionalism further bolsters his capabilities. Throughout his tenure at the firm, Henry also collaborates closely with key team members from the IP department, such as Carlos and Maria Cristina, leveraging his extensive knowledge and expertise to provide invaluable support in addressing a wide range of legal challenges.

Maria Cristina has experience in all phases of intellectual property processes, having intervened in oppositions, appeals, cancellation actions, judicial process and other actions to protect distinctive signs and copyrights against illegitimate use from third parties. Likewise, she manages a constant communication with clients and correspondents (national and foreign) regarding their litigation processes and the consequent advice regarding the protection strategies of their intellectual property rights. She has participated in administrative and judicial processes in defense of the trademark portfolio of important companies, including multinationals and large companies at a national and international level, mainly in the food and textile industry, and has also carried out actions for the protection of intellectual property rights, with the resulting sanction of the infringing activities, and in some cases, negotiation of peaceful agreements. Her professional practice also includes trademark search reports, registration of distinctive signs, and the maintenance and modification of trademark registrations.

Priscila Ordonez is Partner and Head of the International Trademark department. She has experience in matters related to trademarks, industrial designs, copyright and entertainment law. She has an extensive experience as a paralegal for our firm since 2013. She provides support to the Intellectual Property Attorneys of our firm with the registration of national and international trademarks, portfolio management, assignments, licensing agreements, and related aspects of intellectual property ownership, and she is also knowledgeable about copyright procurement and enforcement. Priscila studied at the University of Washington in Seattle - United States, and her creativity and diligence led her to collaborate previously for Advertisement Agencies in the creation of new Trademarks.
