Career

Kayshavani specializes in family law, focusing primarily on family, divorce, and estate planning matters. She has represented client in various contested proceedings, involving highly contested issues such as custody, care and control, access, maintenance, division of matrimonial assets, and enforcement. Her client base is diverse, encompassing locals, expatriates and foreigners with cross-border issues such as relocation, international child abduction and conflict of laws.

On the wealth preservation front, Kayshavani’s expertise extends to setting up living trusts and testamentary trusts, business succession planning, private family agreements for tax planning purposes, and postnuptial agreements. She also frequently advises on adoption and deputyship applications.

As a proponent of therapeutic justice endorsed by the Family Justice Court, Kayshavani represents a new generation of lawyers dedicated to this approach. Her practice prioritises negotiations and mediation, aiming to achieve amicable settlements without having to escalate matters through court proceedings.
