Barry Doherty

Barry has practised in the field of corporate law for over 20 years, and provides a comprehensive range of legal services, with a particular focus on corporate transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, and management buy-outs and buy-ins. As well as offering advice on general company law compliance and corporate governance, he also handles company formations, re-structuring, joint ventures, and shareholders’ agreements. Barry’s experience covers all areas of corporate law, from advising on early stage fundraisings and investments, to disposals.

Jeremy is a director of Codified Legal, a leading specialist IT and outsourcing practice, and is based in their London office. He advises both IT service providers and customer-side clients on large IT projects and outsourcing contracts.

Stephen Ollerenshaw

Stephen is a director and co-founder of Codified Legal (formerly known as Technology Law Alliance), and advises both supplier and customer-side clients on large IT procurement projects and outsourcing contracts. He has acted for some of the largest suppliers in the industry, such as Capgemini, as well as FTSE and multi-national businesses procuring IT products and services. In the earlier part of his career he spent time seconded to in-house legal teams developing a clear understanding of what clients want. He has been involved in technology transactions in almost every industry sector, including financial services, high value manufacturing, health, and retail.

Shazanna Safdar-Karim

Shazanna is an experienced IP and general commercial lawyer. She has advised on a broad range of issues including outsourcing, procurement, M&A, intellectual property, data protection as well as general commercial contracts across multiple sectors retail, financial services, software and health. Having worked extensively in-house, she adopts a legally sound commercial approach.

Gavin Wakefield

Gavin is a director of Codified Legal and advises technology suppliers and users on the entire range of technology and outsourcing-related contracts. He has been involved in some of the largest outsourcing projects of recent years, in both the private and public sectors. As a former General Counsel he has experience of leading a team of lawyers and advising at board level on key transactions.
