Luis Pedro is a senior associate at ALTA Guatemala in the area of ​​litigation and dispute resolution. He has successfully advised and represented local and international clients in complex criminal, commercial, civil and constitutional litigation.

He currently leads the criminal practice of the Guatemalan office, handling criminal litigation related to property crimes, tax crimes, crimes related to industrial property, white collar crimes, fraud, money laundering and other assets, asset forfeiture processes and corporate crimes. Likewise, as part of the dispute resolution practice area, he has led and supported civil and commercial disputes, as well as complex constitutional actions, among which those related to ILO Convention 169 stand out.

Likewise, he has experience in advising local and international clients on regulatory compliance and risk prevention issues. Within this consultancy, he has had the opportunity to lead and participate in corporate investigations to identify corporate fraud, thus developing internal protocols for crisis response and administrative complaints.
