Career

Alejandro is a partner at ALTA Guatemala, with a focus on financing, energy, foreign investment, banking, capital markets, commercial transactions, and environmental compliance, as well as arbitration.

He has participated in some of the most relevant financial transactions in Guatemala in recent years, including capital markets IPOs under Rule 144 A / Regulation S, financing of power projects, acquisition of companies in the commercial, industrial, financial, banking, and energy sector, and corporate financing to business groups in Guatemala and Central America.

After several years of practice, he has significant experience in the structuring, coordination and closing of commercial and financial transactions, covering several countries in Central America and in some cases Latin America, the Caribbean and other jurisdictions.

Alejandro complements his work with his practice on environmental issues, including compliance audits and environmental verification, regulatory affairs and international treaties on climate change and clean development mechanisms, including topics such as the carbon market, environmental services and avoided deforestation. .

Alejandro participates in dispute resolution, specially national and international commercial and energy arbitrations under the rules of different arbitration centers, both as a party attorney or as an arbitrator.
