Career

Marcos is the managing partner of the office ALTA Guatemala where he also leads the mergers and acquisitions practice. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, financings, investment funds and corporate law in general, representing international and Guatemalan entities. He has extensive experience in agency, distribution and franchising contracts, both in establishing new relationships and in managing the complexities that frequently accompany the termination of these relationships. Recently, he has been involved in the area of ​​competition law, preparing local business groups to compete under a new regulatory environment, taking into consideration that Guatemala could soon approve a competition law based on assumed international commitments.
