Career

Evelyn is a partner in ALTA Guatemala and director of the labor area of ​​the Guatemala office. Her extensive knowledge and extensive experience in labor and social security matters and she has managed to be praised for her effective work and advice in the prevention and resolution of conflicts.

She has special experience in labor compliance, labor negotiation, contracting and design of employee hiring and compensation systems, litigation in labor-related matters and social security issues. She also has experience serving employers from all types of industries, commerce, agriculture, services, the state, among others.

Her areas of practice include labor and employment, immigration, social security, negotiation and termination of individual and collective labor relations, collective bargaining, labor litigation, alternative dispute resolution methods, and extensive experience coordinating all types of matters related to legal audits in labor matters in business acquisition processes representing both buyers and sellers.

She is the author of the “Practical Guide for the Resolution of Labor Conflicts” published with the support of USAID, PACT and the Rafael Landívar University, within the Labor Justice project in 2011 and of the “Labor Manual” for the Association of Independent Banana Producers , (APIB) in 2012.

She has been a professor of labor law and alternative dispute resolution methods at the Rafael Landívar University and has acted as a consultant to government entities and private companies.

Evelyn was a representative of the Rafael Landívar University in the National Commission to strengthen Labor Justice and has provided advice to many local and international companies, institutions and organizations on issues related to Labor Law and Alternative Conflict Resolution.
