Career

María Isabel is a partner in ALTA Guatemala, and provides advice on transactions that cover different sectors and industries, both for local and international clients.

She has participated in a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, international financings, and corporate structuring in different jurisdictions and with participants of various nationalities.

María Isabel has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and corporate restructuring, as well as in structuring shareholder agreements and managing them.

Likewise, she is the partner in charge of the Pro Bono Department of ALTA Guatemala.

Member of the board of directors of multiple companies and participates ad-honorem in several boards of directors of initiatives that promote the development of Guatemala and the strengthening of the justice system.

María Isabel is a member of the Aspen Institute Global Leaders Network (AGNL).
