Since joining the Firm, Mr. Espiritu has already been handling complex corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, conducting extensive due diligence exercises, documentation and execution. Mr. Espiritu's experience in mergers and acquisitions played a pivotal role in advising a major player in the petroleum industry on its internal restructuring. Additionally, he manages the consolidation of a leading player in the retail fast-food industry through a multi-tiered restructuring. Mr. Espiritu also handled the cross-border tax transaction of a BVI entity’s application for tax-sparing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Mr. Espiritu also has a hands-on experience in competition law, securities practice, banking, taxation, real estate, and intellectual property, among others. He also handled various applications with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Philippine Stock Exchange and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Mr. Espiritu also advises publicly-listed companies and corporations holding secondary licenses such as banks and financing companies in relation to their regulatory compliance, providing legal guidance in various fields of law. He also handles disclosures and reportorial submissions of publicly listed companies.

Prior to joining the Firm, he handled dispute resolution  cases and litigation in areas of land registration, civil and family law.
