Merve Soyhan Gürcü graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law, in 2004 and completed her legal traineeship in 2005. She commenced her professional journey as a legal consultant for a construction and architecture company with projects both in Turkey and internationally. After amassing 12 years of experience as an in-house lawyer in various international firms, Merve Soyhan Gürcü founded Soyhan Law Firm in 2017.

Mrs. Gürcü obtained her LL.M degree from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom, specializing in Maritime Law and International Commercial Law, under a full scholarship from the EU Commission through the Jean Monnet Scholarship. She also holds an MA degree from Marmara University European Union Institute, with a concentration in EU Law. Her postgraduate studies in both the UK and Turkey have honed her expertise in corporate governance.

Her scholarly work includes extensive comparative research, culminating in her postgraduate thesis being published by Lambert Academic Publishing in 2010, recognized for its distinctive insights into corporate governance practices in the EU, UK, and Turkey.

Since 2005, Merve Soyhan Gürcü has been providing consultancy services to leading companies in Turkey and internationally, across areas such as International Commercial Law, Company Law, Law of Obligations, Law, and Dispute Resolution. She continues to offer her expertise as a consultant and manager, particularly in projects involving mergers and acquisitions, as well as investment initiatives for both foreign and local enterprises, under the aegis of Soyhan Law Firm.

Merve Soyhan Gürcü, who possesses extensive experience in the field of law, provides comprehensive consultancy services to corporate clients on virtually all aspects of law.
