Azad was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in April 2013.

Azad has many years of experience with a focus on litigation and alternative dispute resolution in contract, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, probate and administration, amongst others through his practicing years in Messrs Chellam Wong (2013-2016) and Messrs Kesavan (2016-2000).

He had also between 2020 to 2022 performed in an in-house role as an Assistant Legal Manager in a public listed company and fulfilled a wide range of functions in this role. This included managing ongoing disputes, drafting and reviewing commercial and contractual documentation, compliances as well as rendering legal advice on any arising legal questions.

Azad joined Messrs Gan, Lee & Tan as a Partner of the Litigation Department in June 2022.

Fluent in English and Malay with professional proficiency. Azad also speaks Mandarin.

When he's not outdoors, Azad loves engaging in strategic board games. Whether it's a classic game of chess or a modern strategy game, he relishes the opportunity to test his skills and enjoy some friendly competition.
