Edem brings a different approach to the practice of law. Clients commend his ability to reduce issues down to their simplest form and finding solutions to such issues. He holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Ghana, Legon in addition to his law degree from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

Edem has participated in several transactions including advising the Emirates National Oil Company, African Development Bank, Danone, and Africa50 Infrastructure Fund. He also advised a global development bank on the financing of a public private partnership reforestation project between the Government of Ghana and a European entity. Edem has also advised an oil company in a Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) dispute in relation to an oil block in the Deepwater Cape Three Points of Ghana. Edem is the Solicitor/Secretary to Mutual Funds Company in Ghana

Edem was part of a team of lawyers that advised the Government of Ghana on the securitization of the revenues from mineral royalties. Edem has participated in several civil litigation in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Courts of Ghana. He has incorporated and registered several limited liability companies and external companies and assisted such companies to acquire the requisite regulatory permits, licenses, approvals and certificates.

Edem contributed and coordinated the publication of practice guides in the Oil and Gas Sector for 2019, 2021 and 2023 and Shareholder Activism for 2023 in Chambers Global Practice Guides

Edem is an ardent believer in giving back to society and thus as a law student founded the charity wing of the Students’ Representative Council of the Ghana Law School, which paid for the cost of surgical procedures for underprivileged and indigent children at the Paediatric Surgery Department of the Korle – Bu Teaching Hospital in the Republic of Ghana.
