Julián Roberto Ávila worked throughout Latin America in the insurance industry acting as consultant on insurance, reinsurance, financial regulation and alternative risk transfer solutions in law firms, insurance companies and insurance and reinsurance brokers, in different sectors and industries such as infrastructure, transportation, retail, logistics, banking, real estate, energy, utilities, among others. With more than 15 years of experience providing advice on insurance and reinsurance law and financial regulation, Julián is recognized in Colombian market as business-friendly advisor with relevant experience on regulation in Colombia and in relevant LATAM markets.

During 2023 the team worked with firms across LATAM in incorporating (re)insurance related solutions for its clients. The firm currently represent global clients with presence in Colombia before governmental agencies, in proceedings such as incorporation, spin-off and acquisitions. The firm also acted as attorney-in-fact for insured parties before insurance companies on extrajudicial and judicial claims, specially focused on Construction and Infrastructure and Oil and Gas industries.
