Claire advises a wide range of employers on all aspects of employment law, from recruitment and employment, through to complex dismissals and representation at employment tribunals.

Claire studied law, human resource management and Japanese at Keele University. After a spell working in Cumbria, where she qualified as a solicitor, and in the North East, Claire joined Aaron and Partners in July 2005 and became a partner in June 2009.

With substantial expertise in contractual terms and policies and human resource issues Claire also regularly advises clients regarding sensitive or complex grievance and disciplinary matters. She also advises clients regarding TUPE and redundancies (including collective consultation).

An employment tribunal advocate, having won one of the first tribunal cases on age discrimination, Claire has successfully defended large employers in tribunal claims. In addition, she acts for employers in multi-claimant cases.

Claire regularly assists with the production of the firm’s employment law updates and writes features for the GP magazine. She is an active public speaker and has presented at national conferences, she also carries out both external and in-house training courses on topical employment law issues.
