Career

Described by clients as "an excellent listener, open and engaging", "exceptional", "reassuring" and "insightful", Simon acts for a range of clients in all aspects of relationship breakdowns including divorce, resolution of financial matters, civil partnerships, cohabitation disputes, pre- and post-marital agreements, injunctions, and children matters.

Simon understands that the breakdown of a relationship is a difficult and stressful period, and offers support and advice to ensure the best possible outcome for his clients. He works with each client to manage the case at the right pace for them.

He is an experienced family law Solicitor receiving instructions in respect of complex and high-net worth matters, including cases involving businesses, farming partnerships, complex family structures, companies, and pensions. He regularly leverages relationships with leading barristers for his clients' benefit.

Simon has extensive knowledge of protecting his clients' non-matrimonial assets via pre and post-nuptial agreements.

He has experience of cohabitation cases under ToLATA 1996. Simon has drafted cohabitation/separation agreements for non-married couples.

Simon acts for clients in respect of applications to deal with arrangements for children and Schedule 1 applications for financial support for children.

Simon has successfully advised clients on matters with inter-jurisdictional complications.

He is a member of Resolution, an organisation founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers who believed that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues would produce better outcomes for separating families and their children.
