Position

Acting primarily for Insolvency Practitioners, Adila’s expertise include advising and pursuing claims involving antecedent transactions (to include preference, transactions at an undervalue and misfeasance claims); investigations under section 234, 236 Insolvency Act 1986 (“IA 1986”), sections 127 IA 1986 void dispositions and actions to recover assets for the benefit of insolvent estates.

Adila also advises and pursues claims for debt recovery and enforcement action; possession and sale claims on behalf of the Trustee in Bankruptcy; beneficial interest claims and applications under section 366 IA 1986. Adila has also acted for Fixed Charge Receivers/ finance providers on high profile, high value, disputed property possession claims.

Adila comes from a litigation background predominantly acting for insurers advising on liability and quantum issues and recovery of insurer subrogated losses. Adila also has a background in costs law, including acting for clients involved in provisional and detailed costs assessment proceedings.
