Partner of the Firm's  Head of International Arbitration Dr. Alameldin has extensive experience in prosecuting international arbitration proceedings. Prior to joining the Firm, he represented clients in a wide range of arbitration matters before leading arbitral institutions, including ICSID, ICC, LCIA, and CRCICA.

Represented a Kuwaiti investor in a USD 5 billion ICC arbitration arising out of the termination of a partnership agreement. Represented a group of Kuwaiti investors in a USD 500 million arbitration arising out of the termination of a BOT agreement. Represented a large paper manufacturing company in a USD 9 million ICC arbitration arising out of a construction dispute. Represented an Egyptian investor in USD 53 million DIFC-LCIA three parallel arbitrations arising out of the breach of a 20 years package of Islamic finance agreements with a real estate investment trust in UAE. Represented an Egyptian telecommunication company in EGP 2 billion CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of contract for the installation of a telephone satellite system. Represented an Egyptian telecommunication company in an EGP 10 billion CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of an interconnection agreement. Represented an Egyptian telecommunication company in an EGP 10 billion CRCICA arbitration brought by an Egyptian mobile operator arising out of the breach of a service level agreement and an interconnection agreement. Represented a large Egyptian bank in a USD 81 million arbitration arising out of a breach of mudaraba agreements. Represented a major Egyptian businessman in a USD 65 million complex cross-border arbitration arising out of a breach of multiple shareholders agreements. Represented a major Libyan investor in a USD 100 million CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of a sale of shares agreement. Represented an Italian oil and gas company in a USD 40 million CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of a sale of shares agreement of two gas concessions in Egypt. Represented a group of Spanish investors in a USD 500 million ICSID arbitration arising out of investments in one of Egypt's biggest cement companies. Represented a French company in a USD 18 million CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of a sale of shares agreement. Represented an Egyptian telecommunication company in an EGP 100 million CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of a prepaid phone cards agreement. Represented a large medical services corporation in an EGP 52 million CRCICA arbitration arising out of the breach of a sale of shares agreement and an escrow agreement. Represented one of Egypt’s largest corporations in the food industry in a complex international intellectual property arbitration under CRCICA rules. Represented a renowned TV and media personality in a CRCICA arbitration brought by an Egyptian private TV channel concerning a multi-million-pound transaction. Represented a foreign supplier in a multi-million-dollar litigation arising out of a dispute with an Egyptian public contractor.

Dr. Alameldin completed his Ph.D. thesis on “The International Jurisdiction of Antidumping Actions” at Alexandria University, Egypt.

Dr. Alameldin completed a first L.L.M from Robert H. McKinney School of Law, USA, and a second L.L.M (M2) from University Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, Paris, France. He also received an LL.M.(Magistère) in International Business Law, (First Class Honours) at l’Institut de Droit des Affaires Internationales [IDAI], Egypt.

Dr. Alameldin also completed the “Private and Public International Law Summer Courses” at the Hague Academy of International Law, Netherlands.

In 2022, Dr. Alameldin received the Rising Star Award from The Law Magazine, and in 2023, he was recognized as a "Key Lawyer" for Dispute Resolution: Arbitration and Energy Practices by the Legal500 EMEA Rankings.
