Career

Mr. Genç graduated from school of law of the University of Vienna and passed his equivalency exams at Marmara University and obtained his qualification in Turkey. He is currently working on his PhD thesis at the University of Vienna.

After moving from Vienna to Istanbul, Mr. Genç is providing legal services in German, English and Turkish especially in the following areas: Construction Law & Construction Management, Corporate Law, International Private Law, International Arbitration and Criminal law (White Collar Crimes).

Some highlights of the provided services are as follows:
• Counsel of the Republic Turkey in investment disputes before ICSID.
• Representing Employer’s Representative as the responsible (lead) attorney in a Construction Project in Istanbul with a total value of 100 million USD. Providing legal assistance and drafting all project related contracts.
• Draft and Negotiation of a USD 20 million worth Construction Works Contract under FIDIC Red Book 1999
• Advisory of startUp companies, especially tech-startUps and multinational VC’s; provided legal memos for a well-known VC (from Palo Alto) about the Turkish legislation on VC’s and about establishing a Turkish VC in Turkey.
• Providing Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery seminars for multinational companies in Turkey.
