Tina Podgornik, LL.M, worked as trainee and later senior official at the Tax Administration of the Republic of Slovenia from 1999 until 2001. She worked as trainee and later legal adviser at the High Court in Koper from 2001 until 2006. In 2006, she was employed by Starman/Velkaverh association of lawyers and, over the course of years, gained a position of leading individual (informal partner). In the period from 2018 to 2020, mag. Tina Podgornik worked as Director of General Legal Sector first at Hoteli Bernardin d.d., and after the merger at Sava Turizem d.d. In 2020, she co-founded law firm Velkaverh, Štravs, Podgornik.

Tina Podgornik, LL.M, graduated in 1999 at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. In 2006 she obtained a Master of Science degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor, with a Master's thesis in the field of tax law. She passed the Administrative Procedure Exam in 2000, the State Bar Exam in 2003, and the Mediators Exam in 2010.
